Are you sure you are selecting the rounded rectangle tool (that can produce rounded corners) rather than the rectangular marquee tool (makes sharp corners)?

Looks great! I’m only having trouble with the first step, hehe xP I can’t figure out how you make the edges so smooth. Making the selection and going “Select >> Modify >> Smooth” doesn’t cut it, because you can see the edges are pixelated. Help? ^-^;

Vut out the images and place it with a rollover… so you will get 2 images with teh same text only with an other color
