Cool Blast Effect

Step 1

Firstly we are going to set our colours to the default (hit “d” on your keyboard). Now go Filter > Render > Clouds.

Step 2

Now we are going to be using another filter, go Filter > Pixelate > Pointillize with a Cell Size of 5.

Step 3

Now we are going to be adding a Radial Blur so go Filter > Blur > Radial Blur. Amount: 100, Blur Method: Zoom, Quality: Best.

Step 4

Our last step is to give it some colour, we can do this by going Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation (or simply Ctrl + U).

Your end result should be looking like…
